Cultivate Personal Growth in Christ

  • Through studying of the Bible
  • Through learning to apply Biblical principles to everyday living
  • Through maturing to reflect the character of Christ in service

We provide many good opportunities for each person to become established in God's Word to "prepare God's people for the works of service, so that the body of Christ can be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:12-13)

Learning For Life - Sundays 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Dedicated teachers provide creative learning opportunities. The study of God's Word is always related to the relevant issues we face each day. Adult electives offer a wide variety of classes with different electives each quarter. Youth classes for Junior and Senior High provide an informal atmosphere in which young people can raise pertinent issues that are of concern to them at this critical point in their development. Children's classes allow children to learn Biblical principles in an enjoyable and understandable manner. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers who begin to learn from the loving are of their teachers and caregivers.

Youth Activities

Besides "Learning for Life" classes, Wednesday night bible studies, camping retreats and special events, our youth enjoy...
Youth Night Out - Fridays 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. for junior teens (grades 7-9). Senior high (grades 10-12) meet every Sunday night after the Contemporary International Service. It is a great way to spend Friday nights or Sunday nights enjoying a wide variety of social activities, recreation, concerts, and meaningful discussions.
Youth Drop In (YDI) is an outreach to our inner city youth. We open our recreation center every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. We play basketball, ping pong, pool, and foozball. YDI is a safe place where young people can hang out, make friends, and interact with Christian leaders.

College and Career

We are grateful for the students and working young adults who have found their home with us. These young people enjoy regular Bible studies Wednesday nights from 7:45 - 9:00 pm, music, weekend camps, and a variety of social events on Sunday nights after the Contemporary International Service from 7:45-10:00 pm.

Camping

We have an excellent camping facility at Gull Lake that conducts weeklong camps for children and teens. When children and young people have an opportunity to live in these beautiful surrounding, removed from regular activities, God can make himself known in significant ways. Information and brochures are available at the church office.

All Church-Family Activities

A key aspect of growing in Christ is getting to know the wider Church Family. A good way to do this is to participate in our "All Church Family" get-togethers, which include: Stampede Brunches, Annual Fall Round-Up, Skating Parties, Family Camps, Church Picnics, and many other unique activities.

Recreation

We need to be good stewards of our bodies as well as our souls. First Baptist is pleased to offer two gyms in which we can enjoy a good number of activities. We also enjoy recreational softball, golf tournaments, and volleyball.
